Dr. Natalie Popovich is a Project Scientist in the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts (EAEI) Division at Berkeley Lab and a Justice40 Fellow for the Department of Energy Office of Economic Impact and Diversity. She is an environmental economist whose research focuses on the interactions of land use, networks, and travel behavior. She examines how transportation systems affect community resilience and accessibility. As a Schmidt MacArthur Fellow, she investigated how elements of the circular economy concept could be applied to information flows to improve natural resource management. She is the Board President for Our Climate, a nonprofit advocating science-based climate solutions to support a just transition to a clean energy economy. She completed her PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics and her MS in Transportation Policy at UC Davis.
