Bill Nye's Climate Lab Website for Kids and Their Families Opens

March 24, 2010

Bill Nye's Climate Lab is an educational website developed and presented by Chabot Space and Science Center, Oakland, California. Chabot partnered with Emmy-award-winning science educator Bill Nye the Science Guy and science advisors, including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) and UC Berkeley, to inspire kids and families to reduce energy consumption and find solutions to a warming planet.

BillsClimateLab.org offers fun missions and activities that increase climate literacy and teach energy-saving strategies for many areas of daily life. The new hands-on exhibition, Bill Nye's Climate Lab, will open at Chabot Space and Science Center in late 2010. It explores the effects of climate change on Earth's interconnected systems; use of the sun, wind, land, and water to generate clean energy; and innovative technology and design that will yield long-term benefits for human health and the planet.
