Reva Deshpande

Reva Deshpande is an Energy Technology Researcher at LBNL's Building and Industrial Energy Systems Division. She plays a key role in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings & Better Plants Program, where she develops tools and resources that support over 150 organizations in planning and executing portfolio-wide retrofit strategies. Reva’s research also advances grid reliability through her work on the Federal Demand Flexibility Program, which provides technical support and solutions to optimize peak energy demand across federal facilities. Additionally, she conducts applied research on the on-field implementation of ASHRAE Guideline 36 to advance high-performance building controls.
Previously, Reva contributed to energy efficiency studies for home appliances, leading analyses on energy savings, life-cycle costs, and statistical modeling for federal policy development. As an Energy Engineer, she has supported commercial and industrial clients in achieving strategic energy management through detailed audits and cost-effective efficiency upgrades.
Reva holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in California.
