Ettore Zanetti
Ettore Zanetti is a Energy Technology Researcher II in the Building & Industrial Energy Systems. His research focuses on the development and implementation of next-generation computational tools and workflows for building Modeling and Control. In particular, his interests are in the development of state of the art building simulation tools (Buildings library) and implementation of new control strategies that reduce energy use and cost as well as enable flexible load management (BOPTEST framework). Much of this work recently has been applied to model predictive control (MPC) field implementation and Modelica modeling of ambient temperature heating and cooling districts.
Ettore received his bachelor, master's and PhD in energy engineering from the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano in 2014,2017 and 2022. At Politecnico his research focused on comparing different MPC approaches for building optimal control and the devolpment of a Modelica library for energy systems.
