Research and Development

The Energy Technologies Area performs analysis, research, and development leading to better energy technologies and reduction of adverse energy-related environmental impacts.

Research and Development

ETA researches batteries and fuel cells, electricity grid technologies and energy-efficient building technologies. We perform energy analyses and study the environmental impacts of energy use, including air quality and climate, indoor environmental quality, and sensors and materials for energy applications.

In addition, our unique research facilities offer opportunities for researchers and developers to test, demonstrate and validate innovative energy efficient components and whole systems.
