I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Energy Conversion Group at Berkeley Lab working on proton exchange membrane based unitized regenerative fuel cells. My prior research experience includes thermochemical biomass conversion at the Center for Renewable Carbon in Knoxville, Tennessee. My PhD work involved developing non-precious metal based catalysts and catalyst supports at the University of Wyoming. I will commence my own independent research this September at the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Center within Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. I will be working with industrial partners to study fuel cells and electrolyzers to improve infrastructure for hydrogen generation, transportation and usage in the UK.
