Sunhee Baik is a postdoctoral researcher in the Electricity Markets and Policy Department at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her interests focus on policy problems where technology, science, and public perceptions play a central role. Her current research focuses on characterizing energy system vulnerabilities from natural disasters and emerging threats, obtaining informed judgments of individuals about their economic and social preferences for reliable electric services in the event of a large blackout of long duration, and enhancing the reliability and resilience of the power system without addressing issues of social equity.
Sunhee holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University; an M.S. in Industrial and System Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology; and a B.A. in Information and Industrial Engineering from Yonsei University.
