Bio

Shivam Sharda is Postdoctoral Scholar with Sustainable Transportation Intiative group at the Berkeley Lab. Shivam completed his PhD in Fall 2021 from the school of Sustainable Engineering and The Built Enviornment at Arizona State University.  He has specilization in the analysis of infrastructure system at the nexus of mobility, human behaviors and choices, technology infusion, and energy sustainability. Shivam has extensively contributed to more than half-dozens of full-length papers that are in various stages of review and production with top-tier transportation journals. He has led projects on activity-based models systems for travel demand forecasting, transportation safety, synthetic population generation, emerging transportation technologies, and integrated microsimulation frameworks. Some of his accolades include winning outstanding research award from Graduate and Professional Student Association, student paper compeition award from Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2), Fellowship awards from Behavior, Energy and Climate Change Conference, and travel grant awards.
