Norman Bourassa is a senior engineer and program manager in the Home Energy Saver team (hes.lbl.gov(link is external), hespro.lbl.gov(link is external), homeenergyscore.lbl.gov(link is external)), which conducts software tool research within the Residential Building Systems Group(link is external). Additional past LBNL work includes building commissioning, auto-demand response and building simulation research. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Bourassa worked at the California Energy Commission(link is external) in the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Buildings End-use Energy Efficiency Program. His time there began as a contract manager, providing energy efficiency technical support and strategic research management for the program, until he assumed the PIER Buildings Team Lead program manager duties in late 2007 until his return to LBNL. He has degrees in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and Electronics Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
