Louis-Benoit Desroches is a Research Scientist and Deputy Group Leader in the Energy Efficiency Standards Group. Louis currently leads the technical work supporting energy conservation standards and test procedure development for space-heating and water-heating equipment, as well as electronics products, for the U.S. Department of Energy. Louis has 8 years of experience in the area of regulatory and voluntary energy conservation policy, energy use analysis, techno-economic life-cycle analysis, market research, and project management. Louis has a background in physics and astronomy and received a Ph.D. in astrophysics at the University of California at Berkeley.
