Ben Jenett completed his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for Bits and Atoms, where his doctoral research was supported by the NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship. There, he developed discrete mechanical metamaterials, as well as robotic methods for their construction, and demonstrated their real-world applications in transportation, aviation, and aerospace. He has industry background in large-scale digital fabrication and advanced structural engineering and holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and an M.S. from MIT.
