Arkadeep Kumar is an ITRI-Rosenfeld Postdoctoral Fellow in the Gadgil group. His research interests are focused on water-energy nexus, with research spanning renewable solar energy to energy efficient water treatment. At Berkeley Lab, Arkadeep is currently focused on treatment of high salinity waters using iron-electrocoagulation and brackish water desalination using ion-exchange resin composite electrodes. Arkadeep obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2018, where he investigated increasing mechanical reliability of silicon wafers for solar cells sliced by diamond wire sawing, focusing on materials and manufacturing aspects.
