Bio

Zheng He is a highly skilled computer system engineer who has been working in the Energy Efficiency Standards Department at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing and implementing advanced software systems that support energy-efficient technologies and practices.

Born in China and spent his early years there before moving to California, Zheng attended high school in Anaheim, California, and showed an early interest in technology. He pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he honed his skills in programming and software engineering. After graduation, he landed his first job as a software developer at a startup, where he helped build a platform for managing cloud-based applications.

In 2021, Zheng joined the Energy Efficiency Standards Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he quickly became a key member of the team. His expertise in software development and system engineering has been instrumental in the development of several groundbreaking technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency across a variety of industries.

Outside of work, Zheng enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new technologies. He is a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast and enjoys tinkering with gadgets and devices in his spare time. He also enjoys reading and is an avid fan of science fiction.
