Lalit Pant is postdoctoral fellow in Energy Technology Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Prior to this appointment, he received his B. Tech. in mechanical engineering from IIT Delhi, and his M.Sc., and Ph.D. from University of Alberta. His research involves study and optimization of electrochemical energy systems using physical modeling, numerical modeling, statistical optimization and direct imaging. He has developed novel experimental techniques and mathematical models to analyze transport in porous materials as well as for porous media reconstruction. He has published several journal articles and has talked in several professional society meetings (ASME, ISE, ECS), conferences and seminars. He has been the recipient of several scholarships including RR Gilpin memorial scholarship, University of Alberta doctoral recruitment award, and Alberta Innovates graduate student scholarship.
