Jingjing Zhang
Driven by the urgency of climate change, Zhang's research examines the intersection of technology, markets, public policy, and human factors, with a focus on energy and resource demand. She earned her Ph.D. in Energy Systems Studies from Lund University, focusing on innovations for building and urban sustainability.
Early in her career, Zhang was a contributing author of the IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation (2010). At Berkeley Lab, she has led research supporting the U.S.–China bilateral collaborations and the Net Zero World Initiative. Her work has advanced energy demand research and innovation adoption & deployment, including standards, modeling, metrics, data, behavioral insights, and piloting.
