Cristen Farley
Bio
Cristen Farley is a Scientific Graphic Artist in the Communications Office of the Energy Technologies Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She has worked with Berkeley Lab since 2014 as a design consultant and joined the lab full time in the fall of 2020.
Cristen has nearly 10 years of design experience specializing in climate and energy. Over the course of her career, Cristen has worked with a wide range of companies and organizations including Strategen Consulting, California Air Resources Board, Analysis Group, CalETC, CALSTART, NantEnergy, Extensible Energy, American Lung Association, Merck Family Fund, and Ygrene Financing to name a few.
She strives to bridge the gap between complex information and target audiences through the use of visual aesthetics. She brings a full menu of skills and techniques to her work, which range from designing pitch presentations, data graphics, and scientific illustrations to branding, reports and photo editing. Her design work is more than what you see at first glance; it’s always strategic, and every detail has a purpose.
