Andrea Alstone is a Scientific Engineering Associate in the Energy Efficiency Standards Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Andrea works on lighting products including general service lamps and ceiling fan light kits. Andrea uses her analytic skills to assess the impacts of efficiency standards in the highly dynamic era of LED lighting.
Prior to joining the EES group in 2012 Andrea worked for 6 years at the Schatz Energy Research Center at Humboldt State University on a variety of clean and renewable energy projects including hydrogen transportation, waste biomass to energy, and community outreach and education. Prior to that Andrea worked in the High Energy Physics group at UC Santa Barbara helping to construct and test the CMS detector that was installed on the LHC at CERN.
