Alvin Tan

Currently (i.e., the 2024-2025 school year) a fifth-year PhD student at UC Berkeley studying social robot navigation, privacy preserving data backhaul, and human-aware compression of tiny data streams. Part of CalFlexHub at LBNL, doing work on evaluating the coverage and performance of WAN and LAN technologies for California-state-wide distribution of hourly power prices for demand shaping of residential electrical loads. Expected graduation Spring 2026.
