Berkeley Lab Hosts 2015 Bay Area Battery Summit

November 2, 2015

Successful, widespread production and deployment of renewable energy technologies and electric transportation depends on reliable, cost-effective energy storage. Emerging manufacturing approaches suggest a seismic reduction of battery costs, but how do they affect the market, the ability to achieve grid-scale storage, and support significant expansion of electric vehicle range and reliability? Industry, policy, and finance experts will address these issues at the 2015 Bay Area Battery Summit, hosted by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on November 3, 2015. The summit is sponsored by the Bay Area Council and was organized with the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research, the Electric Power and Research Institute and CalCharge.
